Invented by NASA to train astronauts in weightlessness. I don't think it really does but it's great fun to ride and good exercise too!

Unfortunately the health and safety people made it increasingly difficult to operate the gyroscope as a ride and in the end I decided to give up offering it as a ride. It is a great shame but that's our nanny state for you!
